PUZZLE BOBBLE/BUST-A-MOVE

BUB
Bub along side his brother Bob is the hero of the Bubble Bobble Universe. He is strong minded, brave and adventurous. He was once a human boy until he was cursed by Drunk and transformed into a Bubble Dragon. He has been returned to human on several occasions though it seems he cannot escape the curse forever as he always seems to return to Dragon form.

BOB
The brother of Bob and also a hero in the Bubble Bobble Universe. He has helped Bub on almost every single one of his adventures with a few minor exceptions due to being unwell or for other unexplained reasons. He is quieter than Bub but when around his brother becomes more outgoing.

ALKANET

She is a princess that comes from the Planet Freeze, and has the ability to control ice and transform into a snowman. She also seems to befriend small snowman-like creatures that also exist on her planet. She is a strong character that seeks out the Rainbow Bubbles as they are lost, and she wishes to use their power to protect her planet. But first she must retrieve them.

BIRUGAN
He is a character that appears in Puzzle Bobble 2 and bears a strong resemblance to Kligan, a boss from Bubble Bobble 3: Bubble Memories and is either a relative or just simply of the same species. Birugan is the seventh opponent encountered in the Story Mode and is fought on Enemy Mountain. Before the match, Birugan startles Bub by crashing into the ground. He is also a boss in Pop'n Pop.
BRAMB
He is a mad sorcerer from the planet Marzuk. He had been devoting a great deal of time to developing his ultimate magic trick, which was near completion when light, the main source of his pending research, suddenly vanished! When he finally learned the truth about the incident, he immediately began to plot a way to control light with rainbow bubbles.

BRAVE
He is a knight that appears in Ultra Bust-a-Move and Bust-a-Move PSP.
BUBBLE HERMIT
The Bubble Hermit's real name is unknown, but he made his only appearance in Bust-A-Move Millennium. He is Bub's trainer and guide throughout the story of the game, but proves to be pretty useless when asked for advice, often flipping the question so those who ask end up answering it for themselves. That being said, he is certainly wise, and most probably has a reason for being so vague.
CATCH
He likes video games and karaoke and can change into any shape he likes. He's quite a nice guy. Hs always attacks from above.
CLEON
Cleon is known as "The Fairy of the Night", and she is a the subordinate of Madame Luna. She is upbeat and mischievous. Despite being her vassal, Cleon secretly harbors ambitions to overthrow Madame Luna, and assume the title of The Conqueror of the Night.

DEBRUN
Debrun is an evil Bubble Dragon who acts as the main sub-villain of Puzzle Bobble 3. He is quoted as being from his own game, Deedle Bobble, a paradoy of Bubble Bobble. Despite being malevolent and up to no good, it is later revealed that Debrun is in fact a disguise for Dreg. However, there is also a real Debrun, as he appears alongside Dreg in several of the game's endings. Debrun is shown to love food, as seen in his ending in Player vs. Computer mode. He is also shown to be generally aggressive and mischievous, laughing to himself if his opponent receives extra bubbles on their screen.

DEVELON

Develon is an evil Bubble Dragon who made his first appearance in Puzzle Bobble 4. He has been around fairly regularly ever since. Initially, he appeared to be unaffiliated with anyone other than himself, hunting down the Rainbow Bubbles in order to rule the bubble universe. Since then, however, he has been known to work for Dreg on occasion but why in uncertain.

DOGGIE
Doggie is a character that appears in Bust-A-Move Deluxe on the PSP. More information coming soon.
DRABO
Drabo is a vampire and believed to be one of two, the other being known as Drajo, a female counterpart never seen in game. He is a very powerful character and lives in a coffin in Rastan's Forest. His name is a combination of the name Dracula and Bo, Bo being the Japanese for "young boy". Jo is the same, but refering to a female. Drabo can transform into a swarm of bats.
FUNGILA
A strange, follicly challenged guard dog, Fungila only has three hairs on his head. Perhaps this is why he uses a very powerful black bubble attack.
G
An old, mysterious man who lives on the planet Ordeaux. No one knows his real name, and everyone refers to him only as G. There's a rumor that he likes tea. Also, when he is sharp he is quite fearful...?

GARANYO
A sea serpent/genie that wields a trident and a sword which it uses as a fork and knife. She appears to be a queen of the sea and has three faces around her head. She is encountered in the Bubble Ruins in Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble 2.
GIGANTE
Gigante is a security robot that protects a broken down old castle on Planet Gothic. Who or what built him is a mystery, and why he continues to defend a castle that is seemingly void of life is a mystery also. However, upon discovering the "Rainbow Bubble" he became infatuated with it and left his post on a mission of his own. To seek out and obtain the Rainbow Bubble.

HARUKA
Haruka is a young girl who has run away from her home planet, the name of which is unknown. She is always bothered by her frizzy hair. Little else is known about her.

JACK
Despite popular misconception, Jack is a FEMALE character, and she was pulled into the Bubble World by Dreg's black magick. She is a skilled card player, shuffler and gambler. She is a very strong character and has a romantic style often throwing roses about her. She has only ever appeared in Puzzle Bobble 3, as she didn't originally come from Bubble World, and if not for Dreg, never would have been there.

KATZE
A 2038 year old man with bad dress sense and despotic dreams of conquering space. His use of obstruction blocks can make a grown man cry... (sniff). He is a powerful and malevolent hypnotist and is a master of illusions and deception. He is the owner of his guard-dog, Fungila and plans to conquer the Puzzle Tower.
KUROL
She is a baby from the Grrrrmm planet where people are always costume-clad. She is a laid-back character who loves to sunbathe and take naps. Her journey will be in search of the "morning" and the afternoon "Siesta." Both of which remain missing.

LUNA
Luna is a gypsy witch and fortune teller. She was pulled into Bubble World by the Magical Master of Mischief, Dreg, out of her own world. Her goal is to return back home but in order to do this, she must defeat he who brought her here to begin with. Luna is a very skilled psychic Tarot reader. Interestingly enough, after defeating Dreg they actually discovered a common ground, and became "friends" of sorts due to their mutual love of black magick and witchery.

MADAME LUNA
Full Moon Madame Luna is the main villain of Puzzle Bobble 4. She is a queen of the night, and wishes to rule the Bubble Universe. Despite being a villain, she is in fact under the manipulation of the Magical Master of Mischief, Dreg, which is revealed upon her defeat. Cleon is her subordinate, though she does not realise that she cannot be trusted.

MAGGIE
Maggie is a character that appears in Puzzle Bobble on the PSP. More information coming soon.
MARINA
Marina is documented as being from a game called Taito Mah-Jong before being pulled from her game by Dreg into Bubble World. She tends to remove more and more of her clothes as she goes on, implying that her forte is "strip" mah-jong. She is a fairly tough character at times and is fighting to return home.

MARINO
He's the son of Queen Naleto of the planet Wavy. He's a straight forward character, but a bit of a simpleton. He embarks on a journey to find the "morning", because the Kingdom of the Sea was roughed up by the "incident".

MISS T
A former Beauty Queen and Detective, Miss T is very beautiful but mysterious - a combination fatal to many male Super Bust A Movers! She's quite a girl! Miss T. likes to get the game over quickly with her multi-bubble attack.
MOG
Mog made their first appearance in Super Bust-A-Move on the PS2 and its sequel Super Bust-A-Move 2 (along with variants and ports on other systems.) As their name suggests, they take the form of a very depressed looking cat and they are one of the few Bubble World residents who are working on defeating Katze, the evil hypnotist. Mog loves ties, as is shown at the beginning of Super Bust-A-Move 2.

MR. @
A robot that can transform into a rocket - which is cool! He's looking for the egg-head that created him. Mr. @'s attacks consist of four different colours of bubble. He also looks a lot like Bomberman. Just saying.
MUSASHI
Musashi is an adept fighter, and is able to channel his ki into his attacks. His signature technique is known as the Hadanken (波弾拳 Hadanken?, "Wave Bullet Fist"), and involves Musashi firing a ball of energy from his hands. He is also shown to be able to use a ki-charged uppercut known as the Rekkyuken (烈急拳 Rekkyūken?, "Sudden Violence Fist"). He was pulled into Bubble World by Dreg and is trying to find his way back home. He is a reasonably strong character.

PACKY
Packy is a robotic cat that first appeared in Puzzle Bobble 2. During this time, he appeared frightening to Bub and Bob but later would become friends with them and is now on good terms. Packy can shoot lasers out of his eyes. He can also send out an electrical charge to shock his foes. Packy has been shown to be able to remove his head, although it usually falls off on accident.

PAYA-PAYA
Paya Paya is a monkey from Puzzle Bobble 3. It seems fairly clear that he comes from Bubble World, not another world like most Puzzle Bobble 3 characters. He is a fairly strong character that attacks from both the top and the bottom of the screen.

PICARD
Picard is a Denkyu-kun from Osymi Town. He has the appearance of an electric lightbulb with jack plugs for arms. He is reasonably strong but not particularly tough. He made his one and only competitive appearance in Puzzle Bobble 2, and has not appeared in any Puzzle Bobble tournaments since.
PINKY
A cute girl who is always singing and has a secret she never shares with anyone else. Pinky has a very strong Rainbow Bubble attack.
PRETTIO
By nature she is very klutzy and tends to trip and fall, but is very persistant. She came from a Capriccio Crane game among other toys and prizes. Priccio is prone to neglect her defense in battle, but makes up for it with her Rainbow Bubble attack. Like most Puzzle Bobble 3 contenders, she fights to return home.

PUKADON

This guy gets up very early in the morning and just LOVES head to head matches. He is kind, strong and makes irritating use of the obstruction block. He appears to be part robotic? As he releases air from his behind upon attacking.

SMILEY
Smiley is the positive alter-ego of Weepy, and as such, is the protector of Puzzle Tower. Smiley is the result of Weepy overcoming his fear of failure and lack of confidence. He is represented as an angelic being and is a puzzle bobble master. He appears in Super Bust-A-Move 2.

STONER

Stoner is a Maita from that occupied Rastan's Forest in Puzzle Bobble 2, but has also appeared in many other Puzzle Bobble games. He is a ghost that pushes rocks and his strength varies depending on which game he is encountered in. In Puzzle Bobble 2, he is considerably strong but in Puzzle Bobble 4, not so much. He also haunts Ghost Tower in Bust-A-Move Millenium and protects the location of Dreg.

SUPER SONIC BLASTMAN (SSB)

Not originally a resident of Bubble World, Super Sonic Blastman, often abbreviated to just SSB, is a superhero from his own series of beat-em-up videogames (famous in arcades as being known to break players knuckles from punching the large device on the cabinate). Dreg's curse in Puzzle Bobble 3 pulled him into Bubble World along with a bunch of other characters and now he is fighting for his right to return home to his own world. He is hunting down Dreg, the villain of the story.

TAM-TAM
He is the Lord Protector of the divine Navajo planet. He is the father of the wind and the earth, and is capable of being hostile or gentle. He senses incidents of evil, and soars into space in pursuit of the wonders of night...the night which now never ends...the morning which never comes.

TOM & YAM
A pair of Frog brothers, the older brother is stupid whilst the younger is a coward - what a team! Their dream is to become the President and Vice-President of their little Froggie country. They use three colours of bubble.

TWINKLE
Twinkle is a pixie fighting to get home since the incident that pulled her from her own world into Bubble World. She attacks with rainbow bubbles making her good at blocking her opponents chain attacks but this can also be used against her.

WEEPY
Weepy is the guardian of the mysterious Puzzle Tower in Bubble World. He is represented as a devil and is of a negative disposition. Weepy lacks self confidence and fears competitive confrontations, perhaps due to the repsonsibilty of guarding Puzzle Tower from those that wish to challenge it. He is the negative state of Smiley. He appears in Super Bust-A-Move 2.
WOLO
A mischievous boy in overalls with long sleeves and a hat, who is known for his pranks and tricks. His most noticeable prank was when he tricked Mr. Catch into believing he was a powerful Puzzle Master. Wolo also has a cheeky grin on his face at almost all times.

ZAULEN
A character from Bust-a-Move on the PSP. More information coming soon.
DREG
Dreg is the Magical Master of Mischief. One of Bubble World's most persistent villains. Like others of his species (Willy Whistles) he is believed to have the ability to transform people into Bubble Dragons. He was the center of all the troublesome events ranging from Puzzle Bobble 2, Puzzle Bobble 3, Puzzle Bobble 4, Puzzle Bobble Millenium and Super Puzzle Bobble (Arcade). However, at the end of Super Puzzle Bobble Arcade he was defeated by Bub and sent into a wormhole in space swearing his revenge and was not seen again...... until Bubble Bobble 4. He did once team up with Bub and Bob in Pop'n Pop to bring down Dark Dragon, a greater evil. Dreg eventually became friends with Bub at the end of Bubble Bobble 4.
